Cherrie Kwek
Head Coach
Ms. Cherrie is the esteemed Founder and Head Coach of Relevé Gym & Dance, and the Head Coach of the rhythmic gymnastics team at CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School. A former national gymnast of Singapore, she embodies a lifelong dedication to the art and discipline of rhythmic gymnastics.
With years of experience both on the competition floor and at the helm of high-performing teams, Ms. Cherrie has represented Singapore on national and international stages—bringing with her the depth of a competitor and the insight of a master coach. Her coaching philosophy blends technical excellence with artistic expression, nurturing each gymnast into a confident, graceful athlete.
She holds a distinguished array of professional credentials:
- FIG Level 3 Coach — the highest international coaching certification
- FIG RGI Brevet 2 Judge — internationally qualified to adjudicate elite competition
- Chairman, Singapore Gymnastics Technical Advisory Council
- Certified Coach under the Singapore Coach Excellence Programme (SG-Coach)
- Registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC) and the Ministry of Education (MOE)
Ms. Cherrie’s students have achieved remarkable success at both local and international levels, a reflection of her unwavering commitment to excellence. Beyond medals and routines, she is deeply devoted to shaping young athletes with poise, confidence, and purpose—helping them rise to their fullest potential through the transformative power of rhythmic gymnastics.
Rimma Stopina
Elite Coach - Junior Ravens Team
Originally from Ukraine, Rimma is a highly experienced rhythmic gymnastics coach who has successfully guided numerous elite gymnasts in Singapore.
Renowned for her meticulous attention to detail and emphasis on precise execution, Rimma instills confidence and discipline in her athletes, preparing them to perform at their best on the competition floor.
Mariia Nikishova
Elite Coach- Rising Ravens Team
Maria has a Master of Sports of Russia and was a winner and medalist at international competitions in the USA, Malaysia, and Japan.
Coach Maria holds a Master’s degree from the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sports, and Health.
With over 10 years of coaching experience, she has guided athletes to the “Master of Sports” rank as well as the “Candidate for Master of Sports” rank.
Maria is a passionate coach who truly loves what she does. She takes the time to understand each gymnast so she can motivate them and support their growth. Warm and fair, yet confidently demanding, she brings out the very best in every athlete she works with.
Polina Romashova
Elite Coach - Mini Ravens Team
With a Master of Sport in Rhythmic Gymnastics from Russia and a background as a student-athlete at the prestigious Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sports and Health, Coach Polina brings world-class training and passion to every class she leads.
Before moving to Singapore, she coached at top gymnastics clubs in Russia, where she developed young athletes with precision, discipline, and artistry.
Now, she shares her deep expertise and love for the sport with our Relevé Ravens, nurturing each gymnast’s growth with grace and encouragement.
Robbie Tay
Senior Coach
Robbie is a former national gymnast from 2008 to 2014 representing CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School in the National School Games and Singapore Open championships. She was the Individual All-Around Gold medallist in the Level 2 (2009), Level 4 (2012), and Level 5 (2014) Events and was under the guidance of Miss Cherrie Kwek.
Robbie is a patient and encouraging mentor to her students. She currently holds the following professional qualifications:

Mer Ontañon
Junior Coach
Coach Mer is a former rhythmic gymnast who competed in local, regional and national events across Spain until 2008. Her diverse background in yoga, ballet, artistic dance, and zumba brings a well-rounded and creative approach to our coaching team.
She holds key qualifications including the Singapore Coach Excellence Programme – Fundamentals of Gymnastics (Level 1) and a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from the Yoga & Ayurveda Center (USA).
Mercedes coaches PL2, CL2 & CL3 girls and leads our “Twinkle Toes” and “Twirl & Tumble” classes, where her energy, passion, and friendly nature create a warm and motivating environment for young gymnasts to progress.
She loves getting to know each gymnast individually, guiding them through expressive performance and helping them develop strong artistic foundations.
Aisling Lua
Ballet Coach
Aisling began her dance training with Classical Ballet, and gradually built up movement vocabularies in Contemporary dance and Jazz. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dance Education from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD, UK), and continues to attend dance masterclasses and professional development programmes to stay attuned to the global progression of dance teaching and performance.
She has most recently completed a masterclass with the Hong Kong Ballet, and the INSPIRE Seminar by the Royal Ballet School (UK), pioneering a model of dance teaching based on optimal learning wherein class contents are structured based on learners’ needs.
Aisling brings with her more than a decade of experience in teaching classical ballet, and is familiar with the RAD syllabus and Russian methodology. She adjusts her pedagogical approaches and fine-tunes the class contents and delivery so that they are responsive towards varying learning requirements.
Her current work with Relevé focuses on developing a secure ballet technique foundation for the gymnasts to better understand and utilise the movement mechanics of their routines, and carve out a sense of dance artistry and rigorous discipline for these young learners.
Rui Xuan Tan
Assistant Coach
Rui Xuan is an accomplished gymnast with a strong competitive track record, she was crowned Level 7 All-Around Champion in 2023 and earned a silver medal at the 2022 Singapore Gymnastics Classic.
She has achieved multiple podium finishes at both the National Championships and the National School Games, demonstrating consistency and excellence at a national level.
She is coaching Twinkle & Toes, PL2 and CL2 girls at our Gym.
Her experience includes representing prestigious institutions such as Raffles Girls’ School and CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School (Primary).
In addition to her competitive achievements, she is also a certified National Level 1 Judge, reflecting her deep understanding of the sport.
Shermay Lee
Assistant Coach
Shermay is a trained gymnast from 2016 to 2025, with experience competing in both national and international competitions. She represented CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School (Secondary), training under Ms Cherrie, and achieved 2nd Place All-Around at the National School Games (NSG) in 2022 and 2023.
In addition to her gymnastics career, Shermay has completed 12 years of ballet training under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, attaining Distinctions up to the Intermediate level.
She currently holds a Level 2 National Gymnastics Judging Certification, allowing her to assess performance and provide constructive, insightful feedback to support our gymnasts.
Chloe Jane Lim
Assistant Coach
Chloe Jane is a former FIG Senior gymnast who represented CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School, training under the mentorship of Ms. Cherrie.
Since joining Relevé as a coach in 2021, she has been dedicated to nurturing young gymnasts with her patient, supportive, and encouraging coaching style. Chloe’s experience as a competitive athlete and her positive approach continue to make her a valued role model within the Relevé community.
Wong Chuan Hui
Assistant Coach
Chuan Hui trained under the Singapore Gymnastics National Squad for 7 years. She was part of the Junior Group team and participated in many national and international competitions. Her experience and achievements include:
Participated in Singapore Open Gymnastics Championships and National Championships from 2013-2020
Won team champion in 2019 age group 13-15 years category
Won Stage 4 champion in 2017 14 years and under category
Participated in Shoin Cup 2018 in Osaka (Group Clubs)
Participated in Perth International Gymnastics Championships 2019
Participated in Dubai in 2019

Angeline Lin
Assistant Coach
Angeline is an experienced rhythmic gymnast with the national team since 7 years old.
She has participated and won many awards:
Asean School Games and won Bronze in 2018
Entered Finals in the Asia Junior Championship 2019 held in Thailand
Represented Singapore in the World Junior championship in Russia in 2019
Achieved 1st IAA and 4 Golds for all apparatus in the “A” Division FIG Senior Inter school Games in 2019
1st IAA in Senior FIG National Championship 2021
Awarded Best Sportsgirl (RG) By Singapore Sport Council in 2019
Won Gold for Ball in SG Classic Comp 2022
Won Gold for Clubs in SG Lunar Comp 2023
Angeline has also achieved the Intermediate RAD ballet with Distinction.
Khow Kai Lin
Assistant Coach
Kai Lin has deep expertise in both Rhythmic Gymnastics and Classical Ballet. Kai Lin was a Senior FIG gymnast with the Singapore Gymnastic National team and has extensive competition and training experience both locally and internationally across Azerbaijan, Japan, Australia, and Hong Kong.
She holds multiple accolades across local and international competitions between 2010 to 2018 and has been actively coaching since 2016. Synchronously, she attained high distinctions across her Ballet Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations up to Grade 8, and Vocationals up to Intermediate between 2010 to 2020, and has been teaching RAD Ballet since 2021.
Kai Lin has also trained under The Human Expression (T.H.E) Second Company's associate artist Goh Shou Yi in contemporary dance and continues to pursue contemporary and lyrical dance styles as both her hobby and teaching since 2018. She has also been teaching Lyrical Jazz dance styles since 2021. Kai Lin is also an avid Yoga teacher and practitioner in Vinyasa Yoga which has been a complement to her Rhythmic gymnastics and Dance background.
She coaches Twinkle Toes classes, CL1 and PL1 girls at Relevé.
Beyond her passion to provide her students with strong foundation and technical training, Kai Lin's teaching focuses on character-building and in preparing her students to be inquisitive explorers of the world.
Kirsten Zee
Assistant Coach
Kirsten started training from 7 years old and is a former national gymnast. She was trained and participated extensively in individual and group events and achieved many awards:
Participated in various competitions including the National Championships, Singapore Open and National School Games
Represented Singapore in the Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships
Awarded the Junior International Athlete of the Year 2018 (National Junior Group) by Singapore Gymnastics

Kirsten is also passionate about street dance and has participated in various performances, recitals and competitions including the well-known Super 24 street dance competition.
Katelin Heng
Assistant Coach
Katelin is an accomplished rhythmic gymnast and current assistant coach at Relevé. She has proudly represented Singapore at major international events, including the Asian Championships 2022 (Manila) as an Individual All-Around finalist, the Commonwealth Games 2022 (Birmingham), the World Championships 2022, and the Asian Games 2021 (Hangzhou).
A highlight of her career includes placing 4th in the Individual All-Around at the 2021 SEA Games in Hanoi. Katelin brings valuable international experience and a passion for the sport to her coaching role, inspiring the next generation of gymnasts.
